We are launching it at the Alternative Development Information Centre to civil society groups to share our research which provides a solid evidence base for how electricity planning in South Africa can be improved. Our report reveals how an innovative focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy in particular offer more elegant solutions than a dogged persistence with outdated, utility-scale electricity planning. It is just as important for Goverment to make smart energy choices and Project 90 has contributed to the compilation of the SMART Electricity Planning report – which highlights an improved approach to Electricity planning in South Africa.
