Realising the potential within

Happy new year Project 90 blog readers! I hope you all had a fantastic festive season. Last year Project 90 was very busy making films about all our projects. We now have four new films we’re excited to share with you over the next two weeks, which showcase some of the important work we’ve been doing with our Clubs, communities and demonstration sites.

It is nearly two years since the Project 90 team began engaging with the community of Msobomvu, located just outside of East London, in identifying ways to enhance energy and water security of the community. Two years down the line, many noticeable changes have taken place within the community.

We made a short film to document the transformational journey within the Msobomvu community. I hope you enjoy watching it. Continue reading

Project 90 Household Tool helped me save over R1,700 per month

Project 90 by 2030 recently launched an online Household Tool to help you identify ways in which you can reduce your environmental impact and save money each month. I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy it is to reduce my carbon footprint at home by taking small and easy actions and I was amazed at how much money I can save every month. With April being family month using our Household Tool is a great way to start cutting carbon at home, and everyone in your family can pitch in and do their bit. Continue reading

Robert took a trip to a nearby holiday resort with his family, proving that we don’t need to have a high carbon holiday to have fun. We also include an analysis on the different travel options available to get from Cape Town to JHB and Durban, looking at time, cost and CO2 emissions.
