Young Leaders – Day of Action

Project 90 held a Day of Action at the Johannesburg Zoo. Project 90 Clubs from the Gauteng region came along to inspire and inform the public and to learn more about how they can preserve their natural environment. The day was a great success and this short video demonstrates just that.

A Wave Ahead

In November 2013, Project 90 celebrated the completion of the second phase of our renewable energy demonstration site partnership with the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town. What made this partnership extra special was the development of an innovative wave-powered generator created to capture wave energy produced in the kelp forest exhibit. This short film “A Wave Ahead” documents the development of the generator from conceptualisation to installation. Continue reading

Realising the potential within

Happy new year Project 90 blog readers! I hope you all had a fantastic festive season. Last year Project 90 was very busy making films about all our projects. We now have four new films we’re excited to share with you over the next two weeks, which showcase some of the important work we’ve been doing with our Clubs, communities and demonstration sites.

It is nearly two years since the Project 90 team began engaging with the community of Msobomvu, located just outside of East London, in identifying ways to enhance energy and water security of the community. Two years down the line, many noticeable changes have taken place within the community.

We made a short film to document the transformational journey within the Msobomvu community. I hope you enjoy watching it. Continue reading
