One of our volunteers, Nokubonga, has written a blog post on her thoughts around our current path of development not catering to preserving our natural heritage. She says: healthy ecosystems are the birthright of all, and are central to our unique cultures, traditions and religions. Norway in a nutshell

Our Community Engagement Facilitator, Gray Maguire was invited to present at the International Sustainable Development Research Summit in Norway. He did a presentation on Project 90’s Participatory Community Engagement methodology which we have developed to document our work with communities over the past few years. Although some of the messages at the conference were somewhat pessimistic, Gray remains optimistic about the changes society can bring to create a just and sustainable world for all.

Power behind the scenes

Hin Wah, our Communications Programme Manager, wrote a lovely piece for the Green Times magazine about our wave turbine installation at the Two Oceans Aquarium. A continuous wave is needed to keep the kelp and other plants in the aquirium alive. Project 90 teamed up with the aquarium to design and build a wave turbine which could create this wave without using electricity. Continue reading
